Getec install real-time Tilt Meters to dock wall in Tampa, Florida

As part of the Keller group, Getec worked closely with Hayward Baker’s Tampa office to design, supply, install a monitoring system that would warn and record any tilt of the dock wall, while being re-conditioned with a system of jet grout piles and slabs.

The Tilt Meters are programmed to read every minute, during the 3 month project. The S-type Tilt Meters are attached to dock wall via 60kg pull magnets and positioned such that they are not damaged when ships and barges are docking.

The wireless mesh system works on a 100m radius with 30 biaxial nodes on the dock wall and 5 repeater nodes positioned on the dock edge to provide a conduit back to the system gateway that is positioned with the existing dock sheds.

The installation took 3 hours via boat with the system running live and logging within a few hours. The data is managed via the Getec Quickview website. Quickview can also be used to monitor dock traffic , 3D View, weather and Jet grout records as they are installed. Keller companies, working together for a complete solution. Getec sourced the Tilt Meters from Wisen Technologies for this project.
