As an essential industry, key engineering works have continued during safety restrictions and lockdowns throughout 2020. GEO-Instruments UK are no exception and our engineers have been on-site throughout London, the UK and Europe to keep monitoring moving.

Engineers visited Canary Wharf to install environmental monitoring equipment and on a separate occasion to install manual inclinometers at an excavation at nearby Alpha Square.

Meanwhile, teams have been working below the surface on London Underground lines taking tape extensometer readings and carrying out precise levelling and prism surveys.

Beyond London GEO-Instruments UK are working across the country and alongside our colleagues in Europe.

Many of our systems use automated monitoring and don’t require regular intervention however it’s been business as usual when undertaking manual monitoring, essential maintenance and commissioning for new projects.
